Event Overview
The Vermont City Marathon and Relay takes place in Burlington, Vermont, offering various running distances over a multi-day event period. Course Information
The marathon and relay course follows a layout characterized by mostly flat sections with some rolling hills. A significant climb is located at the midway point of each loop. Participants can choose from several event formats:
- 26.2 miles: Options for individual runners, two-person relay teams, or teams of three to five people.
- 26.2 miles: A wheelchair division with an option to select a half marathon distance during registration.
- 2 miles: A timed race with awards for top finishers.
- 1 mile: A youth fun run.
- 0.5 miles: A youth fun run for younger participants.
- 26.2 miles: A virtual marathon option for remote participation.
Participant Details
Registered runners for the in-person races receive a tech race shirt, a finisher medal, and access to post-race food and beverage services. The youth fun runs provide participants with a cotton shirt and a finisher medal. Official timed results are provided for all distance events except the youth fun runs.
