Vermont 100 Endurance Race
The Vermont 100 is an endurance event held July 17-19, 2026, celebrating its 35th anniversary. The event weekend features two main footrace distances and is listed with fields that include 450 runners and 70 horses.
The course winds over country roads and forested trails in the southern Green Mountains and is described as having unrelenting rollers that add up to 17,000 vertical feet of climbing. Published event figures also include a 30 hour figure alongside the climbing total.
VT100 has been held since 1989 and is one of America’s older 100-mile races. It is part of the Grand Slam of Ultrarunning and is noted as the only remaining 100-mile event that includes a concurrent horse race.
All proceeds from the event support Vermont Adaptive Ski & Sport. Fundraising and volunteer activity are part of the event program and the race history notes ongoing community and charitable involvement.
