Vashon Dock to Dock Run
The Vashon Dock to Dock Run is a point-to-point running event on Vashon Island, Washington. The main event is a 15 mile course that begins at the South End Ferry Dock in Tahlequah and finishes at the North End Ferry Dock. The route follows the island's west side highway and includes rolling hills, forested sections, and views of Puget Sound. The course includes the Burma Hill Climb as a notable uphill segment.
A three person relay is also offered, with each team member covering approximately five miles. The relay’s final leg includes the Burma Hill segment and a commemorative Burma Hill Climb patch is available.
On-course support and post-race provisions are provided. Aid stations are located at miles 5 and 10. Participants may leave a bag in a secure location near the finish line for retrieval after finishing. A BBQ lunch with food and drinks will be provided at the finish. Optional shuttles are available to transport runners between the north end and the start line, to return finishers to the south end, and to move relay runners to and from checkpoints. Organizers provide prizes for top finishers, as well as raffles, giveaways, and event swag. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
