About the race
The Vashon Dock to Dock Run is a point-to-point running event on Vashon Island that follows the island’s west-side roads and includes varied terrain and hills.
The event offers two formats:
- 15 Miles point-to-point from Tahlequah Ferry Dock to North End Ferry Dock
- 5 Miles relay for 3-person teams, each runner covers roughly 5 miles
The route includes the Burma Hill climb and scenic views along Puget Sound. Aid stations are located at miles 5 and 10. Participants may leave a bag in a secure location near the finish and a BBQ lunch with food and drinks is provided at the finish area. Optional shuttles are available to move runners between the north end and the start area, to return finishers toward the south end, and to transport relay runners to and from checkpoints.
Relay teams form from individual registrations, with each team member registering separately. A special patch is awarded to the team member who runs the Burma Hill segment. Prizes and giveaways are provided by the event organizers and sponsors. A route map is available for reference. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
