Event overview
The Vardaman Sweet Potato 5K Run & 2K Fun Run takes place on Saturday, November 1, 2025, in Vardaman, Mississippi. The course begins and ends at the Vardaman Post Office. The event includes the following distances:

- 2K (open to ages 12 and under)
The 5K will use a new race route for 2025. A separate 2K fun run route is offered for children.
Registration, fees and awards
The 5K has a listed entry fee of $30. The 2K fun run has a listed entry fee of $15. Pre-registration is available with a guaranteed T-shirt; pre-registration deadline is Friday, October 24, 2025. Same-day registration is offered but a T-shirt cannot be guaranteed and shirts are provided while supplies last. All participants will receive a medal and a T-shirt when available.
Awards include plaques for overall male and overall female finishers and certificates for age group winners. Proceeds from the 5K are designated for First Baptist Church Student Ministry. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
