Vancouver Lake Half Marathon and 4 Mile Run
This event takes place at Vancouver Lake, with race activities centered inside the park near the north shelter and north picnic shelter. The organizer limits entries to 400 because of limited parking. A $5 parking fee applies; exact change is requested and there is no free parking for carpoolers. The parks department charges for parking at packet pick-up but that parking pass is valid the next day.

The course is described as very flat and follows park roads and a bike path. Key route features include running south from the north shelter to Reiger Road, a 2-mile turnaround marked by reflectors, a bike-path segment to the Frenchman’s Bar turnaround at the bathrooms, and mile markers with orange cones at each mile. Water stops are provided at miles 3, 5, 7, 9 and 11; no sports drinks are offered. Port-a-pots are located at the start and finish and at the Frenchman’s Bar turnaround.
Logistics include packet pick-up on race day from 8:30 AM to 9:45 AM and an optional packet pick-up on Saturday, February 22nd at Vancouver Lake from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM. Unclaimed packets after 10:00 AM become the property of the organizing club. Clothing check locations are on Reiger Road and near the 3 mile mark. T-shirts are available for purchase; XXL shirts cost more. Finishers of the half marathon receive medals, and awards are given to top six males and females in each division.
