Beneva Vancouver Half Marathon & 5K
Established in 1999, the Beneva Vancouver Half Marathon & 5K is a flagship event of the Canada Running Series in Western Canada. The event takes place annually in late June, featuring scenic routes along the ocean. Participants can engage in the event in person on June 28, 2026, or take part in a virtual version available from June 1 to June 30.
The half marathon course is known for its path from the University of British Columbia (UBC) to Vanier Park. The event attracts thousands of participants each year and is recognized for its significant fundraising efforts through the Charity Challenge, which supports various causes.
There are three primary distances available for participants:
- 21K (Half Marathon)
- 5K
- 1K (Kids Race)
The event includes several specialized programs and services such as an Impact Bib Program for environmental responsibility, accommodation options at partner hotels, and support for adaptive athletes. Runners have access to training resources, pacers, and a bag check service on race day. Race kits include event swag, and participants can check results and photos following the completion of their distance. The competition is sanctioned by BC Athletics and AC Road.
