Van Metre 5K Run
The Van Metre 5K Run is a charity running event held in April 2026 in Broadlands, Ashburn, Virginia, benefiting Children's National Hospital. Registration fees listed in the event information include: 5K Adult $30, 5K Youth (12 & under) $20, 3-person Corporate Team $110, 4-person Corporate Team $125, 1 Mile Adult $25, and 1 Mile Youth (12 & under) $15. Online registration and packet pick-up options are provided; packet pick up is scheduled on dates in April at One Loudoun and at Rubino's Pizzeria, with an additional pickup at the event venue.
Race features
The race uses a USATF certified course and a ChronoTrack timing system with disposable B-tags. Race day activities include an interactive warm-up for children, arts and crafts, and face painting. Post-race awards include cash prizes for the top three overall male and female finishers and prizes for the top two male and female finishers in each age group.
