Valley Vertikiller Trail Race 2026
The Valley Vertikiller takes place on October 10, 2026 at 37779 Taggart Rd, Abbotsford, British Columbia. The event offers three loop courses that run mostly on single-track trails with both flowy and technical sections.
Distances offered
- 30 km - nearly 1,500 m elevation gain
- 20 km - nearly 1,000 m elevation gain
- 10 km - 400 m elevation gain
All distances include well-stocked aid stations, fully catered finish-line food, and custom racer swag. Podium awards and cash prizes are given to the top three finishers in each race. Additional prizes include a CA$500 cash prize for the first-place team, rewards for new course records, and draw prizes.
The 30 km route climbs to the summit of Sumas Mountain, passes picturesque Chadsey Lake and several creeks, and features an aid station at the Eastern Lookout. The 20 km follows much of the same route toward the summit but over a shorter distance. The 10 km Verticuddler stays on lower trails and provides a shorter loop without the full ascent.
The 30 km Team Challenge accepts teams of five or more; team results are based on the combined finish times of the fastest five members. Winning teams receive a team trophy and special prizes, and team members receive a 10% registration discount.
Notable rules: poles are permitted on 20 km and 30 km, dogs are not allowed on course but may be in the finish area on leash away from food, and age restrictions and parental consent requirements apply for younger runners.
