Valdosta 5K
Valdosta 5K takes place on July 4 at the Valdosta State University Complex, 401 Baytree Road, Valdosta, GA 31602. Proceeds benefit the Valdosta State University Cross Country programs. Registration opens May 1 and closes July 3; entry fee is $15 through July 3 and $20 on race day. A family discount of $45 is available for families of four or more with parents and children 18 years and under if received by July 3. Organizers request exact change for race day payments; there are no refunds or swapping of entries.

The 5K course starts on Sustella Avenue, continues onto Baytree Road, North Oak Street, Moore Street, Williams Street, Mary Street, returns to Sustella Avenue and finishes in the VSU Complex parking lot on Sustella Avenue. Awards include Overall Female and Male, Master Female and Male, and the top two finishers in each age group: 11 & Under, 12 to 14, 15 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, and 70 & Over. No T-shirt is provided. Participants are expected to finish within one hour. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
