VA XC Showcase Meet information
The VA XC Showcase is an NFHS sanctioned cross country meet held over two days in October 2026. The event includes varsity, junior varsity, open, and middle school races and publishes live and final results through MileSplit and BlueRidgeTiming. Results are unofficial until posted as official.
The course is located at Pole Green Park and is described as mostly grass with a sand substrate; it drains well and is generally flat. Course access and packet pickup are available across Friday and Saturday before the races. Box assignments for starting positions are randomly drawn in the week prior to the meet; at-large individuals choose from labeled individual boxes.
Division and seeding structure is managed by meet staff and posted in advance. Division categories include a Showcase division for top-ranked teams and qualifying individuals, an Elite division for the next-ranked teams, large school and small school divisions based on enrollment thresholds, JV races aligned with varsity session placement, and a single middle school division. Seeding lists and morning versus afternoon session placements are released before the meet.
Fees are stated per athlete with caps per school; payments may be made online or by check. Parking for spectators is limited and bus parking is arranged off-site at nearby schools or shopping centers. Athletes should not run on park roads or bring pets. Team and individual awards are given across divisions and top finishers receive medals. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
