UVM Wellness Environment 4/20 5K
The UVM Wellness Environment 4/20 5K is a cost-free and substance free 5K fun run and walk held on Monday, April 20, 2026. The family friendly event starts and finishes on UVM's Athletic Campus and marks the eleventh annual edition. The event aims to bring the greater Burlington and UVM community together to celebrate building healthy brains by moving the body.
The distance is 5K (3.1 miles) and follows a loop along the South Burlington recreation path. The start line is located on the south side of Gutterson Field House and participants self-seed at the start line according to pace. There is no bib timing or posted results.
Participants receive a free long sleeve race shirt for the first 1,000 registrants. Onsite offerings include food trucks, games, mini golf, expo tables, and a raffle. Food truck tickets are handed out at the concourse entrance after finishing; wristbands are required to claim food tickets and drink vendors do not require tickets. Raffle winners will be announced on site and winners must be present to claim prizes.
Facility details note limited restroom availability with porta-potties near Virtue Field and indoor restrooms in the Gucciardi Fitness Center lobby. Parking is available in Gutterson Parking Garage, University Heights North Lot, and the Jeffords Lot with no pass required. Check-in takes place at the Gardner-Collins Indoor Track with entry through the south side where shirts, wristbands, and raffle tickets are distributed.
