Medal Madness 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon : Concord, NC
Medal Madness in Concord includes three timed events held at the Dogwood Shelter, located at 760 Orphanage Road, Concord, NC 28027. All entrants must register online through RunSignup; there is no on-site registration and entry fees increase on the Monday before the race.
The course is mostly paved with a short stretch of gravel and dirt. The route is shaded in places. Restroom facilities are located in the right corner of the parking lot when entering the site. A packet pickup is provided before the race.
Distances are organized as repeated out and back laps on measured sections:
- 5K : one out and back lap on the 3.11 mile course.
- 10K : two out and back laps on the 3.11 mile course.
- Half Marathon : four out and back laps on the 3.28 mile course.
The event enforces a course time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes. Participants receive finisher medals. Additional event features include a shirt and gear shop, a best costume award, series points, and other award categories.
