Event Overview
The Luau 5K & 10K in Byron, Georgia, is a scheduled athletic event taking place at North Peach Park. Organized by US Road Running, this race is part of a larger series and offers participants the opportunity to earn points toward the US Road Running Race Series. The event base is situated adjacent to the local tennis courts within the park.
Course Information
The event features two primary race distances, both of which utilize an out-and-back course layout:
- 5K participants complete the out-and-back course two times.
- 10K participants complete the out-and-back course four times.
A combined time limit of 2 hours is in place for all participants.
Registration and Participation
All coordination for the race occurs through online registration, as there is no option for on-site registration on the day of the event. Packet pickup is conducted on-site, beginning 30 minutes before the start and concluding 10 minutes prior to the commencement of the runs.
Event Features
While there is no requirement to wear a costume, participants are encouraged to do so. A group photograph is taken before the start, and an award for the best costume is presented at that time.
