UR Skeleton Run
The UR Skeleton Run is scheduled for Sunday, October 18, 2026, at Deerfield Town Park in Deerfield, NY. The event offers multiple race distances for different ages and abilities.
The available events are:
- Skeleton Run 5K (3.1 mile): Starts at 10:00 AM EDT. Registration opens May 5, 2026.
- Skeleton Community Run (1.5 mile): Starts at 9:30 AM EDT. Registration opens April 19, 2026.
- Kids Quarter mile Run: For ages 3-12. Starts at 9:00 AM EDT. Registration opens April 5, 2026. This event is free.
- Volunteer signup: Free registration for volunteers.
The event encourages participants to wear costumes, provided they are safe for running. The course uses the park's wilderness trails, which may be muddy. The organizers request that participants optionally bring non-perishable food donations for the Mohawk Valley Church Food Pantry.
Packet pickup is available on Saturday, October 18th from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Sneaker Store in New Hartford, and on Sunday, October 19th starting at 8:00 AM at Deerfield Town Park. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
