Uppingham Pool Triathlon
Uppingham Pool Triathlon is a pool-based sprint triathlon held at Uppingham School Sports Centre. The venue has a 25 metre pool with poolside spectator viewing and enclosed changing facilities including baby changing and accessible toilets. The event emphasises a supportive and inclusive culture.
The bike course is a 22 km circular on-road route through surrounding villages and offers views of the Welland Viaduct. The run is a 5 km mixed-surface loop combining pavement and grass. Transition, the Event Hub and the finish area are colocated to keep most race activity central to spectators.
Safety and event services include professional chip timing with online results, an on-site medical and safety crew, independent sports retailers, and food and coffee vendors. Prizes are awarded for 1st to 3rd overall in open and female categories, age-group placings from 15-16 and upwards, and awards in Aquabike and Aquathlon categories. Eco-finishers medals are provided.
A Beginners Workshop with a coached swim session is offered at the venue to familiarise new competitors; spaces are limited. A childrens Aquathlon takes place in the afternoon. Relay options are available for families, clubs and corporate teams, with an eco medal for each relay member. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
