Upington Summer Triathlon 2026 : event summary
Upington Summer Triathlon is a multi-class triathlon event held at Waterfront Guest House & Venue in Upington, Northern Cape. The venue sits beside the Orange River and nearby vineyards. The event offers individual and team entry options across several distance formats and includes on-site merchandise and food offerings such as braaivleis.
Available classes and distances include:
- UST Challenge Individual: 500m swim, 22km bike, 8.6km run
- UST Half Individual: 250m swim, 12km bike, 4.2km run
- UST Junior Individual: 125m swim, 6km bike, 2km run
- UST Kiddies: for participants 5 years and older Team relay options mirror some individual distances. Team sizes range from two to three participants.
Entry and race notes: online entries are limited and no entries are accepted on the morning of the event. Only the first 120 paid entries receive a goodie bag. Unpaid entries are removed after seven days. Participants must be able to complete their chosen class without assistance from a parent or another competitor to qualify for medals and placement prizes.
