University City Memorial Day Run
The University City Memorial Day Run is a long-standing community athletic event held in University City, Missouri. The 2026 edition marks the 52nd year of this annual tradition. Participants can choose between several road race options that navigate through the local streets of the city.
The event offers the following distances:
- 10 km run
- 5 km run
- Family Fun Run
The 10 km and 5 km races start in front of the University City Public Library located on Delmar Boulevard. The Family Fun Run begins at the intersection of Princeton and Trinity. The 5 km race is officially scored using chip timing performed by Big River Race Management.
Course participants who register by May 12th are guaranteed an event t-shirt. For those who register later, bibs and shirts are available on the morning of the race starting at 6:30 a.m. Packet pick-up is also organized the day before the event at the University City Public Library.
As a benefit for runners, the race bib provides free admission on race day to the Heman Park Pool, a historic local swimming facility. A family registration option is available, which covers two entries for the timed races and up to three entries for the Fun Run. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
