United We Run 5K : Wilson
The inaugural United We Run 5K takes place on October 24, 2026, with start and finish inside the new Wilson Ballpark at 401 Goldsboro St. S., Wilson, NC 27893. The course travels through parts of downtown Wilson and passes Vollis Simpson Whirligig Park, offering a route that highlights local shops, restaurants, and breweries.
The event supports the United Way of Wilson County; proceeds benefit programs that help local families build financial stability. Costumes are encouraged.
Registration details include an early fee of $30 through October 9, which includes a race shirt, and a higher fee of $35 from October 10 until race day. Registration opens July 11.
Awards are given to the top overall male and top overall female, and to the top male and top female in these age groups: 15 and under, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and over.
Strollers are permitted but used at the participant's risk; portions of the course run along the ballpark warning track where loose rocks may create a bumpy surface. For safety, dogs are not allowed at the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
