The Union Founder's Day Run takes place on Saturday, May 9, 2026, in Union, Missouri, at 201 E Main Street (courthouse square). The event offers the following race distances:

- 5K
Entry fees listed are $30 for the 10K and $25 for the 5K. Online registration opens January 29, 2026 and ends May 6, 2026. Early-bird registration runs through April 9, 2026; late registration runs from April 10 through race day. Registrations after April 9 are not guaranteed a shirt.
Details
Proceeds benefit the Union R-XI Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that supports the Union R-XI School District. This is the 48th annual Founder's Day Run. The race takes place during Union's Founder's Day Festival at the downtown courthouse square. Festival activities include a cornhole tournament, food trucks, live music, and community sponsorship by the Union Parks & Recreation Department and local businesses.
Packet pick-up is scheduled for Friday, May 8, 2026 (location and time to be determined) and on race day at the courthouse square near 201 E Main Street from 4:00 to 5:30 PM. Medals will be awarded to the top overall male and female in each distance and to the top three male and female finishers in each age group: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. A post-race beverage is provided for participants aged 21 and over. Route maps are published for both distances. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
