About the Event
The Union Founder's Day 10K & 5K is part of the 48th annual Founder's Day Run. It takes place during Union's annual Founder's Day Festival. Proceeds from the race benefit the Union R-XI Foundation, a nonprofit supporting the local school district.
Event Details
The event includes two distances: a 10K and a 5K. Both races start in the evening. Packet pickup occurs on race day from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM at the courthouse square near 201 E Main Street in downtown Union, Missouri. In-person registration is available at that time.
The event is integrated with the town's Founder's Day celebration. This family-friendly festival on the courthouse square includes a cornhole tournament, food trucks, and live music. Racers aged 21 and over receive a free beer upon finishing.
Registration & Awards
- 10K: Registration is $30.
- 5K: Registration is $25.
A price increase occurs after April 9, 2026. Online registration ends on May 6, 2026. Registrations submitted after April 9 are not guaranteed a shirt.
Medals are awarded to the top overall male and female in each distance. The top three male and female finishers in each age group for both the 10K and 5K also receive medals. Age groups range from 14 & under to 70+. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
