UNICO's FALL WALKATHON 4 Families with ALS
UNICO of Belleville, together with the PSZbelieveFoundation and the Robert Luongo ALS Fund, organizes a fundraising walk and race to support Essex County families affected by ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease). The event meets at the Belleville Senior Citizens Recreation Center, 125 Franklin Ave, Belleville, New Jersey, near Nanina's in the Park.
Participants can choose between the following distances:
- 3.1 Miles 5K race
- 1.5 Miles walk
The route passes through Branch Brook Park and returns to the Recreation Center. Check-in includes a free t-shirt. Free bagels, coffee, and water are available before and during the walk, and hotdogs and drinks are served afterward. The program includes a brief period to acknowledge sponsors and those representing families with ALS. The event is described as family friendly and welcomes children and groups attending together.
