Unbreakable
Unbreakable is an all‑Australian weekend trail running event first held in 2021. The 2026 edition is scheduled for 5 to 7 June and is described as being held somewhere in Victoria. The event was explicitly inspired by the Barkley Marathons and follows many of its concepts while remaining a distinct event.
The Barkley Marathons background provided for context includes five laps of roughly 20 miles, navigation by map and compass without course markers, and a requirement to find books and remove pages matching a race number. Unbreakable adopts many of these ideas but does not publish full course details far in advance; detailed information is provided only in the hours before the event start.
Event specifics given for Unbreakable include:
- successful competitors may complete five laps
- lap lengths are reported as about 30–50 km
- per‑lap time cutoffs are described as between 8 and 12 hours
- entry requirements exist but are not fully specified
Fees for 2026 are shown in the range of $300 to $450 depending on registration timing. Trailsplus donates $1 per participant to Canteen and reports cumulative donations of over $80,000 to that organisation. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
