Unbreakable Mountain Trail Run - Trailsplus
Unbreakable is a weekend trail running event held in the Marysville region on Fri 5th - Sat 7th June. The event is an Australian adaptation of concepts from the Barkley Marathons held at Frozen Head State Park in Tennessee. The local version first ran in 2021 and follows several unconventional race elements.
The format allows successful participants to complete up to five laps. Each lap is roughly 30 to 50 km in length. Time cutoffs per lap are stated to be between 8 and 12 hours. Entry requirements are noted but described in deliberately vague terms by the organiser. Detailed race instructions are saved for the hours before the start, reflecting the event's emphasis on navigation and on-course problem solving rather than typical marked courses.
