About the race
UltraTrax Greek Peak is a timed trail event held on May 1, 2027 at Greek Peak in Cortland, NY (2000 State Route 392). The event offers looped routes that run through forested terrain, rolling ridges, hardwood glades, shaded single-track, creek-cut valleys, and ridge climbs with views across the Finger Lakes foothills.
Participants may choose from these distances:
- 7 Miles
- 14 Miles
- 21 Miles
- 28 Miles
Walkers and runners have a 10 hour time limit to complete their chosen course; the event is timed rather than a race. The course will be marked and supported by stocked aid stations. Participants who opt to carry weight may wear their own vest or ruck; weights will be checked on the morning of the event and all nonperishable items count toward the total. Weighted vest options listed by the organizer include 10, 20, and 35 pounds for bonus finisher items.
Onsite amenities include complimentary parking and base camp food and drinks available for purchase on the outdoor deck and inside the ski lodge. Finishers receive event apparel, a patch, and a medal; this year all levels qualify to earn a medal. A portion of proceeds is donated to the Conservation Lands Foundation.
