Ultra X South Africa
Ultra X South Africa is a six day stage race across the Cederberg and surrounding landscapes in South Africa, held 19–24 October 2026. The event covers 330 km over six stages and moves through vineyards, orchards, farmlands, remote gorges, sandstone wilderness and mountain passes.
The route includes flowing singletrack cut by local farmers, steep climbs, long stages and varied trails that feature unique local flora and fauna. Organiser information lists a difficulty of 6/6 and a technicality rating of 3/5. Reported temperature ranges during the event are 10 to 32°C. The nearest major airport is CPT.
Each night participants stay in an exclusive wild camp and sleep in private tents. Evenings are centred on a communal campfire and a shared camp environment.
Race logistics are provided to entrants in advance. Participants receive a welcome email with key dates, a race pack with event details and kit lists, and optional pre race calls for additional preparation.
