Event Overview
Ultra-Trail Grizedale is a two-day trail running event in Grizedale Forest in the Lake District. The event includes camping, BBQs, music, an outdoor bar, and talks.
Races
There are two races over the weekend:
- Saturday: 8 Hour Trail Relay. Participants complete as many laps as possible of a 7 km loop within an 8-hour window. The relay can be run solo, in pairs, or as a team.
- Sunday: 22 km Trail Race. Participants run two laps of an 11 km loop. Times for pair and team entries are combined for an overall result.
Event Location
The event is based at Bowkerstead Farm in Satterthwaite, Ulverston.
What's Included
The full weekend entry includes camping on Friday and Saturday nights, participation in both races, fully marked and marshalled routes, professional timing and medical support, hot showers, vendor catering, an Inov-8 stand, free products from Tenzing, and a race tattoo. Talks by local ultra runners are also part of the program. Medals and prizes are awarded to podium finishers.

- Full weekend (both races plus camping).
- Saturday only (8 Hour Trail Relay).
- Sunday only (22 km Trail Race). Camping can be added to day tickets for an additional fee. The minimum age for entry is 16.
