Ultra-Trail Grizedale
Ultra-Trail Grizedale is a two-day trail running event held in Grizedale Forest, near Bowkerstead Farm, Satterthwaite, Ulverston, in the Lake District. The event runs across the weekend of 13 to 14 June 2026 and includes trail races plus weekend activities such as camping, BBQs, music, an outdoor bar and talks.
The event programme comprises two main races. Saturday features an eight hour trail relay where participants complete as many laps of a forest loop as possible within the timed period. Sunday features a 22 km trail race run as individuals, with pair and team results calculated from combined individual times.
Distances:
- 7 km forest loop
- 11 km forest loop, run twice for 22 km total
Practical information includes fully marked and marshalled routes, professional live timing, on-site medical support, hot showers and wash facilities, and external catering vendors. Weekend ticket holders receive camping for Friday and Saturday. There are day ticket options for Saturday or Sunday, and separate spectator tickets. The event has an age minimum of 16 years.
