Ultra-trail Drakensberg

Ultra-trail Drakensberg is a trail festival in the Southern Drakensberg scheduled for April 23 to 25, 2027. The event includes multiple trail races that run on mountain terrain in both Lesotho and South Africa.

Courses incorporate or skirt features such as Sani Pass, Twelve Apostles, Khanti Ridge, Hodgson’s Peaks, Garden Castle, Rhino Peak and Langalibalele’s Pass. Four of the five courses use sections of the Giant's Cup Trail in the southern section of the Maloti-Drakensberg Park World Heritage Site. The park holds World Heritage status for its natural landscapes and its cultural wealth of San rock art. The event logo, the Running Man, refers to this local rock art.

The Race Village is at Glencairn Farm. The farm offers a range of accommodation options and will host catered breakfast and dinner options on Race Weekend from Thursday evening to Sunday morning. Results from previous years are recorded and photo galleries and live tracking have been part of recent events.
