Ultra Sweaty Santa
Ultra Sweaty Santa is a free, time-based endurance event held in Devils Elbow, Missouri. The event uses a six-hour format but also allows participants to run for shorter periods; donations are accepted to benefit Operation Christmas Child and participants may bring packed shoeboxes for donation.
The course follows a shaded crushed gravel loop alongside the Big Piney River just off Old Route 66. Two loop options are provided:
- 6-mile loop
- 3-mile loop
There will be one fully stocked aid station and one water-only aid station on course; participants are advised to bring a portable hydration device. After the event, a private beach behind the Elbow Inn is available for cooling off.
Prizes are awarded for best costume and for the overall male and female finishers by total miles. For those choosing the longer loop, a prize is offered to the Queen and King of the hill for repeatedly traversing the turnaround hill. This edition is noted as the 10th annual event.
