About the race
Kent Downs 50 Challenge is an Ultra Challenge event based at the Kent Showground, Maidstone, in the Garden of England. The main 50 km loop (about 1000 m elevation) loops anticlockwise around the Kent Downs, starting on the North Downs Way to Blue Bell Hill, passing Aylesford, then following the River Medway to Mote Park at halfway, continuing via Len Valley Walk to Leeds Castle, and returning to the showground for a finish. 25 km and 10 km options are also offered.
The weekend basecamp offers camping, parking, transfers, and food and drink, with rest stops, medical support, GPS-tracked routes, and a finish party with medal and t-shirt. An Ultra March (walkers only) option is available. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
