Bath 50 Challenge : event overview
The Bath 50 Challenge takes place on Sat 28 March 2026 in the City of Bath with Bath Racecourse as the basecamp and start/finish location. Routes are looped around and through Bath, passing the Royal Crescent and along the River Avon, and include urban and surrounding countryside sections. The event expects around 2,000 participants on the day.

Race options, support and services
The event allows walking, jogging, or running and offers a Solo Challenger start option. There is an Ultra March category for walkers aiming to complete 50 km in under 12 hours, plus a new Trailblazerz category intended for faster, competitive runners with target time windows for the 50 km distance. Rest stops are provided approximately every 12.5 km with a major stop at 25 km; 50 km participants have a picnic at 25 km and hot food at the finish. The route is fully signed and includes GPS tracking; timing scans at rest stops are logged by a control room. Medical cover includes doctors, paramedics, first aiders, podiatrists, massage teams and mobile emergency medical support. Shuttle buses to local stations and parking are available.
