Bath 50 Ultra Challenge
The Bath 50 Ultra Challenge is a looped trail event based at Bath Racecourse in the City of Bath on Sat 20 March 2027. Routes run through the city and surrounding countryside and pass landmarks including the Royal Crescent and the River Avon.
Distances
- 50 km with about 1,000 m elevation and rest stops at about 12.5 km, 25 km, 37.5 km and finish
- 29 km with about 650 m elevation and a rest stop at about 12.5 km and finish
- 10 km with about 200 m elevation and snacks at the start and a picnic at finish
The event provides marquee rest stops roughly every 12.5 km, catering that includes snacks, energy drinks and picnic lunch for longer distances, and medical, podiatry and massage support at rest areas. The route is fully signed with pink arrows and GPS tracking available through the event app. Timing scans at rest stops log progress for participant monitoring.
There are options for walkers and faster runners, including an Ultra March category aimed at walkers targeting 50 km within 12 hours and a Trailblazerz option aimed at ambitious runners. Bookable extras include parking at the racecourse, shuttle transfers to local stations and baggage storage.
