Bath 50 Ultra Challenge : Bath, Sat 20 March 2027
The Bath 50 Ultra Challenge is a supported series of looped trail routes centred on Bath Racecourse, taking participants around and through the city and surrounding countryside. The route passes notable city sights, including the Royal Crescent, and follows sections of the River Avon.
Distances:
- 50 km : ~1,000 m elevation
- 29 km : ~650 m elevation
- 10 km : ~200 m elevation
Rest stops are provided roughly every 12.5 km with larger facilities about every 25 km. For the 50 km route there are stops at ~12.5 km, 25 km (picnic lunch), ~37.5 km and at the finish (hot food). The shorter routes have staffed refreshment points at intermediate and finish locations.
Event support includes marquee rest stops with food and drink, medical and podiatry cover, massage teams, a fully signed route with GPS tracking via a Challenge App, and a timing system that logs progress at rest stops. Transport options stated for the event include shuttle buses to local stations and parking at finish venues.
Entry and format options include individual or team places, a Solo Start option, an Ultra March category for walkers, and an Ultra Trailblazerz category for competitive runners. 2027 registration is shown as open. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
