Bath 50 Ultra Challenge

The Bath 50 Ultra Challenge takes place on Saturday 28 March 2026 with Bath Racecourse as basecamp. The event uses looped routes that run around and through the city and nearby countryside, passing landmarks such as the Royal Crescent and following sections of the River Avon. The basecamp hosts up to 2,000 participants.

Distances on offer:

  • 50 km (1,000 m elevation)
  • 29 km (650 m elevation)
  • 10 km (approximately 200 m elevation)

Routes are fully signed and supported. Covered rest stops appear about every 12.5 km, with a major picnic stop near 25 km for the 50 km route; food and drinks are included for participants, and a hot meal is provided at the 50 km finish. Medical teams, podiatrists, and massage support are available at rest stops, and the organiser operates a control room that logs progress via timing scans. An event app provides GPS tracking and route maps.

Category options include an Ultra March for walkers aiming for target stage times, a Trailblazerz option for faster competitive runners, and a Solo Challengers start time. Shuttle transfers and parking are provided at the basecamp. Finishers receive a medal, a finisher T-shirt, and a celebratory drink, with certificates available to download afterwards. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
