Bath 50 Ultra Challenge
The Bath 50 Ultra Challenge is a looped trail event based at Bath Racecourse. The event offers supported walking, jogging, or running on routes that pass through and around the city, including views past the Royal Crescent and along the River Avon into surrounding countryside. Routes begin and finish at the Racecourse basecamp.
Supported services are provided on course and at rest stops. Covered rest stops appear at roughly every 12.5 km with larger marquee rest areas approximately every 25 km; these include catering, seating, changing areas, medical and welfare tents, and massage support. The route is signed with pink arrows and night glow-sticks and has GPS tracking through an event app. A timing system logs progress via scans at rest stops. Food and drink are supplied at regular intervals, with a picnic at the midpoint for 50 km participants and a hot finishers meal for 50 km finishers; all dietary requirements are catered for.
Additional event features include shuttle buses and parking, camping, solo start and alternative participation options such as Ultra March and Trailblazerz, and a finish-line celebration with a medal, finisher T-shirt, and a glass of fizz. Organised team entries and corporate team packages are available for group participation. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
