Ultimate Runner
Ultimate Runner takes place on June 27, 2026 at the Hanes Park track in Winston Salem, North Carolina. The event evening is made up of five races: four track events and a 5K cross country race. The listed distance for the main race entry is 4.91 miles.
Participants must complete all five events to receive a finishing score. Those who complete all events receive an Ultimate Runner t shirt and a 4.91 Ultimate Runner car decal. Track events are run in heats based on submitted seed times.
The sequence of events is:

- 400 m
- 800 m
- 100 m
- 5K cross country
There are separate entry options for guides of disabled runners and a ceremonial Celebration Lap. The Celebration Lap is a 400 m ceremonial event held to mark 40 years of Ultimate Runner and is free and open to anyone who has been part of Ultimate Runner in the past 40 years. Registration opens April 15, 2026 and closes June 20, 2026. The standard registration fee for the Ultimate Runner Races is $65.00; guide and celebration lap entries are listed with no fee.
