Event Overview
The Ultimate Runner is a multi-event competition. It takes place on June 27, 2026, at the Bob Sosnik Track at Hanes Park in Winston Salem, NC.
The Challenge
The event consists of five races completed in a single evening. Four events are run on the track, and one is a cross-country race. The specific order is: 1 mile, 400m, 800m, 100m, and a 5K cross-country run. To receive a finishing score and the event t-shirt and car decal, a participant must complete all five events. Track events are organized into heats based on runners' submitted seed times.
Registration and Participation
Registration is capped at 114 participants. Entry costs $65, with a $5 discount available to Twin City Track Club members. Registration opens on April 15, 2026. On race day, runner check-in and bib pickup begins at 3:00 PM, with a strict deadline of 4:00 PM. The first event, the mile heats, begins at 4:30 PM.
Post-Race Gathering
An after-party and awards ceremony is held at Joymongers Barrel Hall, located across the street from Hanes Park. The event is open to all entrants, volunteers, and guests. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
