Ukrop's Monument Avenue 10k
The Ukrop's Monument Avenue 10k presented by Kroger is an annual spring road race in Richmond. The 2027 edition is the 28th running and is scheduled for April 17, 2027. The event is based at Broad Street and Harrison Street and follows a tree-lined route past historic homes and notable architecture.
The course is described as flat and fast. Timing uses bibs with chip timing. Participants receive a commemorative t-shirt, event bag, finisher medal, entry to the Sheehy Post Race Festival, access to a two-day Health and Fitness Expo, and post-race food provided by Kroger. Early adult registration ranges from $35 to $75, with income based rates available for qualifying participants at a reduced fee.
The event offers multiple participation options including in-person seeded and non-seeded waves and a virtual option that includes the same participant items. Seeded waves require proof of time and are reserved for runners who can finish the 10k in under 63 minutes; non-seeded waves are for those with a predicted finish over 63 minutes or without qualifying proof. Additional event features include live bands, music and DJs along the course, spirit groups, contests such as Spirit and Dress Up and Run, and the 20k Challenge for completing two 10k events in one week.
