Ukrop’s Monument Avenue 10k - April 17, 2027
The Ukrop’s Monument Avenue 10k presented by Kroger is a community road event in Richmond held on April 17, 2027 at Broad St. and Harrison St. Running since 2000, this is the 28th edition of the 10k and it uses a wave start format with seeded waves for faster runners. The first twelve seeded waves are reserved for runners with proof of a finish faster than 63 minutes.
The course is described as flat and fast along a tree-lined street with historic homes and notable architecture in spring. Participants receive event items including a commemorative t-shirt, event bag, bib with chip timing, and a finisher medal. The event also includes entry to the Sheehy Post Race Festival, access to a two-day Health and Fitness Expo, and post-race food provided by Kroger.
Options and programs associated with the 10k include a virtual participation option, income-based entry rates that can reduce the fee, and a YMCA 10k Training Team for guided group training. Additional features on race day include on-course bands, live music and DJs, multiple spirit groups, community contests such as spirit and dress up contests, and a 20k Challenge that comprises two 10k finishes with a special medal and cookies.
