20th Annual UAB Alumni Scholarship Run Presented by VIVA Health
The UAB Alumni Scholarship Run is an annual fundraising event in Birmingham that supports student scholarships administered by the UAB National Alumni Society, a 501(c)(3). The event returns to Crestline Village and is described as a flat, chip-timed course; the 10K consists of two loops of the 5K route.

- 1 Mile Adult Fun Run
- 1 Mile Kid Fun Run
- Virtual run with t shirt and finisher medal for participants in spirit
All in-person and virtual participants receive a packet that includes a t-shirt and finisher medal. Winner medals are awarded to first place overall in the 5K and 10K and to age and gender group winners. Packet pick-up is scheduled at the UAB Alumni House in the days before the event.
Walkers are welcome with placement at the back of the 5K group and guidance to stay to the right and walk no more than two abreast. Participants with strollers should start from the back and keep children with them at all times. Only certified support animals on leash are permitted. The event is planned to occur rain or shine; cancellations may occur in extreme circumstances and refunds are not provided. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
