The 20th Annual UAB National Alumni Society Scholarship Run takes place on Saturday, April 18, 2026, in Birmingham, Alabama at 3785 W Jackson Boulevard. The event offers multiple participation options:
- 10K
- 5K
- Virtual Run
- 1 Mile Adult Fun Run
- 1 Mile Kid Fun Run
Entry fees are listed on the event page and increase after March 21, 2026. Online registration for the 5K, 10K, and Fun Runs closes at 11:59:59 pm on Friday, April 17, 2026; in-person registrations on April 18 occur onsite. Registrations after Friday, April 10 may not receive the desired t-shirt size.
Course, awards, and purpose
The run returns to Crestline Village and is described as a flat route on a certified course. The event will use chip timing; the 10K is two loops of the 5K route. All participants in the 5K, 10K, Fun Runs, and virtual run receive a packet that includes a t-shirt and a finisher medal. Winner medals are awarded to first place overall and to winners in each age and gender group for the 5K and 10K races.
The UAB National Alumni Society (NAS) organizes the annual Scholarship Run to raise funds for student scholarships. Since 2007 the event has helped the NAS raise more than $1 million to support a range of students, including first-year, first-generation, legacy, and graduate students.
