Ty Rylander Memorial 5K Run & Walk
The Ty Rylander Memorial 5K Run & Walk is an annual community event held in Pittsfield, Illinois. The 2026 edition marks the 12th year of this gathering, which takes place at the Pittsfield United Methodist Church. The event offers participants the opportunity to complete a 5 km distance either in person or through a virtual participation option.

Registration for the in-person event is available on the morning of the activity at the church location. Maintaining a long-standing tradition, the organizers do not provide official times or awards for this event. Instead, the focus is positioned on a group gathering that includes donuts, Gianni's pizza, and candy.
Pre-registered participants are provided with an event t-shirt, which can be collected the evening before the race or on the morning of the event at a tent situated behind the church. For those participating virtually, shirts are delivered by mail. Proceeds from the registration fees are directed toward supporting local youth initiatives within the community.
