Two Roses Ultra

Two Roses Ultra is an ultramarathon based at Wadsworth Community Centre in Old Town, Hebden Bridge. The event offers three route options: two separate 50 km loops and a combined figure-of-eight 100 km that links both loops.

The Red Rose route runs mainly into Lancashire and includes moorland, technical terrain and exposed sections. Key locations on the Red Rose include Widdop Reservoir, Worsthorne, Townley Park, Cliviger, Gaddings Dam and Stoodley Pike before returning to Hebden Bridge and race HQ. The White Rose route travels through Walshaw Moor, Haworth, Keighley, Bingley, Cottingley Woods, Doe Park reservoir and Ogden Water, finishing back at HQ. The two routes complement each other with differing terrain and similar overall elevation distribution.

For those choosing the 100 km option, race HQ serves as the mid-way checkpoint where participants may use a drop bag, obtain hot food, and must carry a headtorch for the second loop. The event allows 24 hours to complete the 100 km. Checkpoints are staffed and there is at least one mandatory cut-off on the longer route.

Entry is restricted to participants aged 18 or over on the event date. Entry includes a bespoke finisher medal, GPS tracking and timing, hot food at checkpoints and finish, and event photography. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
