Two Person 5M Relay

The Two Person Relay is a track event in which teams of two alternate quarter mile (400 meter) laps. The total distance is 5 miles equal to 20 laps on the track; each team member runs 2.5 miles or 10 laps. Teams may arrive with a preselected partner or find a teammate on race day.

The event is scheduled for July 14, 2026 at Long Reach High School. Registration is race day only and payments must be either exact cash or check payable to Howard County Striders; there is no credit card reader on site. Race day walk up fees are listed as $1 for Howard County Striders members and $2 for non members. Past editions, with documented results from 2010 through 2025, show turnout varied by year with reported team counts ranging from nine teams to 30 teams.
