East Lancs LDWA - 41st Two Crosses
This event offers walking and running routes of 26 miles and 18 miles that pass via the Western Pennine reservoirs and moors. It is organised by LDWA - East Lancs and is based at Greenmount Old School Community Centre, Brandlesholme Road, Greenmount, BL8 4DS. The event takes place on 14 March 2027.
Entrants must be 14 years or older. The 26 mile course is restricted to those aged 18 or older. Participants under 18 must use the 18 mile route and be accompanied at all times by a parent or guardian. Runners are welcome. There is no entry on the day.

Entries open on Monday 7 September 2026 at 00:01, with LDWA members given a priority booking period; entries are open to the general public from 7 October 2026. Entries close on Friday 5 March 2027. Entry fees listed are £15 for LDWA members and £22 for non members. If the event becomes full, a waiting list may be used. Refunds are available subject to a 20% administration fee. Entries may be sold or substituted under the stated admin rules and deadlines.
Safety and rules require following the route description and checking in at checkpoints. Retirees must inform an event official. Marshals may short route or retire entrants who do not comply with rules or who are judged unable to continue. Checkpoint food cannot be guaranteed free from allergens. Required equipment includes suitable clothing and footwear, waterproofs, compass, whistle, mug and one of the specified maps; electronic maps and route versions are allowed.
