Twisted Twig 5K
The Twisted Twig 5K is a community run/walk held in Rome, NY on August 8, 2026, with an alternate rain date of August 9, 2026. The event takes place at 720 Railroad St., Rome, NY 13440. It includes a main 5K event and a separate Kids Obstacle Fun Run.
The event is produced in partnership with Copper City Fitness. One hundred percent of proceeds benefit the Rome Twigs, a volunteer organization founded in 1907. The Rome Twigs comprise more than 100 members across 12 branches and support Rome Health by funding hospital equipment, operating the hospital gift shop, and organizing the annual Tree of Lights campaign, among other initiatives.
Entry fees are listed as $40 per participant plus processing for the 5K and $10 per participant plus processing for the Kids Obstacle Fun Run. The event offers a post-race gathering with a live band, food trucks, vendors, and additional activities.
