Event Details
The Grateful for Graham 5k Run / Walk is organized by the Utica Roadrunners. This is the fifth annual edition of the event.
The event is a fundraiser for the EB Research Partnership. All proceeds raised go directly to this organization to support research for treatments and a cure for Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB), a rare genetic skin disorder.
Race Course and Format
The event features a single 5k distance. The course is described as an "out and back" route. It runs along the Rayhill Memorial Trail (Route 840) and is described as fairly flat. The start and finish point is the trailhead near BOCES on Middle Settlement Road in New Hartford, New York. Parking is available in the nearby BOCES parking lot.
Event Categories and Awards
Multiple participation categories are available:
- Adult: For ages 18 and up.
- Youth: For ages 6-17.
- Children: Free registration for participants up to five years of age.
- Virtual: A virtual run/walk option.
All paid run and walk registrations will be chip-timed. Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers. Age group awards for first place are given in 10-year increments (with a teen group for ages 13-19). There are no age group awards for participants 12 and under. A special "Stroller Division" offers awards for the fastest female and male participants pushing a child in a stroller.
Registration and Amenities
All paid registrations include a 2026 event t-shirt. Free registrations (for children five and under and virtual participants) do not include a shirt. To guarantee a shirt in the desired size, registration must be completed before April 10, 2026.
Packet and shirt pickup is available on the day before the event at The Sneaker Store in New Hartford, New York. Items can also be picked up at the Utica Roadrunners tent on the morning of the event starting at 8:00 AM. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
