Twin Cities Hot Cider Hustle
The Twin Cities Hot Cider Hustle is a running event held in Bloomington, Minnesota, at the Normandale Lake Bandshell. Participants can choose between two main distances along a course that follows Normandale Lake, featuring views of the local autumn scenery. The routes are entirely on paved roads or trails.
Available distances include:
- Half Marathon
- 5K
The Half Marathon course is USATF-certified. Participants have the option to enter as chip-timed competitors or join the fun run category. For those seeking assistance with their pace during the Half Marathon, pacers are available for various target times ranging from 1:30:00 to 2:35:00. Time limits are in place for both distances, with 3 hours and 30 minutes allotted for the Half Marathon and 1 hour and 20 minutes for the 5K.
Finishers in the Half Marathon receive a commemorative medal, while 5K participants can choose a medal as an optional add-on. All participants receive commemorative gear, with a choice between a classic t-shirt or a thin-tec hoodie. At the finish line, refreshments such as hot apple cider and caramel apples are provided, along with a finisher mug.
The event supports Special Olympics Minnesota, an organization providing sports training and competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Free parking is available in a nearby garage on Normandale Lake Blvd. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
