Tushars Ultras - Eagle Point Resort, Beaver, UT
The 2026 Tushars Ultras event scheduled for August 1, 2026 has been canceled due to the Cottonwood Fire. The fire posed an extreme threat to Eagle Point Resort, Fishlake National Forest, and sections of the race courses. Organizers stated they are monitoring the situation and will post updates as available.
The event normally offered multiple distances:
- 100K
- 70K
- Marathon
- Half Marathon
Courses are described as high-elevation, technical mountain runs that start and finish near 10,500 feet, peak above 11,500 feet, and spend most of the route around 9,500–10,500 feet. Climbs account for roughly half of many courses and significant total elevation gain is reported for the longer distances.
Race logistics and on-course services (when held) include marked trails, multiple aid stations, chip timing, and on-site medical staff. Required gear for the 100K, 70K, and marathon includes a rain jacket, space/emergency blanket, cell phone or GPS device, whistle, reusable cup, and headlamp; trekking poles and a water filter are recommended. Crews and pacers are permitted at designated locations for the 100K and 70K, while crews for shorter distances are generally limited to the start/finish. Lodging and dispersed camping are available at Eagle Point Resort and nearby sites, and weather can vary widely from warm to cold with possible storms.
