Turkey Trotter 5 Miler
The Turkey Trotter is the 16th annual community running and walking event held at Wendell Moore Park in La Grange, Kentucky. The event program includes two distances:
- 5 Miles run
- 4K walk
The course runs through the park and combines pavement, grass, dirt trail through the woods, and a paved trail. Packet pick-up is available on race day at the community center.
All participants receive a finish medal, a race bib, chip timing, and a door prize ticket. Pre-registered participants receive an event shirt; late registrants may receive shirts while supplies last. Overall male and female finishers receive awards plus a frozen turkey. Additional awards are given to the top two female and male finishers in age groups: 10 & under, 11-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80 & over.
Registration opens March 9 and closes October 20. The registration fee is $40. The event takes place at Wendell Moore Park, 1551 Hwy 393, La Grange, KY 40031. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
