Event Overview
The Turkey Trotter 5 Miler takes place on Saturday, November 7, 2026. It is held at Wendell Moore Park, located at 1551 Hwy 393 in La Grange, Kentucky. The race is organized by Oldham County Parks and Recreation.
Course Information
The event features two distances: a 5-mile run and a 3-mile walk. The course is described as a challenging combination of cross-country terrain, woodland trails, and paved trails within a picturesque park setting.
Registration Details
Online registration ends on Friday, November 6th at 2:00 p.m. The entry fee is $40.00 for early registration, which increases to $50.00 after October 1st. All early registered entrants are guaranteed a t-shirt, while late registrants (after October 1st) receive shirts only while supplies last. Packet pick-up is scheduled for race day, Saturday, November 7th, from 7:00 to 7:50 a.m. at the John Black Community Center.
Awards and Prizes
Awards will be given to the top finishers in ten-year age groups, from 10 & under to 80 & over. Overall male and female top finishers also receive a frozen turkey. All entrants will have a chance to win one of several door prizes, which also include frozen turkeys. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
