2026 Turkey Trot
The Turkey Trot is a Thanksgiving Day community run and walk held in Rawlins with an additional site in Saratoga. The event benefits Ribbons of Hope, a local charity that provides financial assistance to Carbon County residents diagnosed with cancer. That assistance can be used for travel, lodging, meals and other expenses related to treatment.
The event offers in-person and virtual options. In Rawlins the schedule includes a children's Lil Turkeys Sprint on the track and a Survivor Lap to honor people who have battled cancer. In Saratoga the 5k is based at the Riviera Motor Lodge and includes a community time at a fire pit near the finish with a warm beverage. Registration and packet pickup begin the morning of the event. All 5k registrations receive a custom Turkey Trot medal and t-shirt; registrants who register by November 1 are guaranteed a t-shirt size. Virtual registrants receive a mailed packet, which includes a five dollar shipping and handling charge.
Distances offered:
- 200 meter Lil Turkeys Sprint for children ages 4 to 12
- 5k fun run walk in Rawlins
- 5k fun run walk in Saratoga
- Virtual 5k with mailed packet
Registration fees listed include mandatory charges. Fees in the event listing are: Lil Turkey Sprint $25, Virtual 5k $45, Rawlins 5k $40, Saratoga 5k $40. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
