2026 Turkey Trot
The 2026 Turkey Trot is a community running and walking event held around Thanksgiving in Carbon County, Wyoming. The event is presented at two locations, Rawlins and Saratoga, and includes an in-person 5k at each site plus a virtual 5k option. The Rawlins location is at Rawlins High School, 1401 Colorado Street. The Saratoga gatherings are based at the Riviera Motor Lodge.
Proceeds benefit Ribbons of Hope, a local charity that assists Carbon County residents diagnosed with cancer. Financial assistance can help cover travel, lodging, meals, and other expenses related to cancer care.
The event program includes a children s Lil Turkey Sprint and a survivor lap to honor people who have battled cancer. All 5k registrants receive a custom Turkey Trot medal and a t shirt. Virtual registrants receive a mailed packet; the virtual registration includes a five dollar shipping and handling charge. Volunteer registration options are available for both locations.
