About the race
The Fifth Annual Turkey Trot takes place in two Wyoming locations to benefit Ribbons of Hope, a local charity that assists Carbon County residents diagnosed with cancer. The charity provides financial help for travel, lodging, meals, and other expenses related to cancer treatment.
The event offers in-person and virtual participation options. All 5k registrations include a custom Turkey Trot medal and a t-shirt; registrants are advised to register by November 1 to guarantee t-shirt size. Volunteer opportunities are available for both locations.
Rawlins activities center on the track at Rawlins High School and include a Lil Turkeys Sprint for children aged 4 and up (200 meter dash) followed by a Survivor Lap to honor people who have battled cancer, then a 5k fun run/walk. Saratoga activities are based at the Riviera Motor Lodge and include a time to honor survivors, a 5k fun run/walk, and a community gathering at a fire pit with warm beverages after the finish.
