Turkey Trot 2026 takes place in Gander, Newfoundland and Labrador on October 4, 2026. The event is organized by the YQX Running Club and includes family, youth and trail race options on paved walkways and on the Cobbs Pond trail.
Race distances and formats include:
- Family 3k, maximum four members per entry.
- Kids Race 1: two laps on a paved walkway, ages 3 to 5.
- Kids Race 2: four laps on a paved walkway, ages 6 to 9.
- 3k on Cobbs Pond trail.
- 6k on Cobbs Pond trail.
- 9k on Cobbs Pond trail; age categories include 10+ and 14+.
Registration opens with an early bird deadline on August 28, 2026 and a regular deadline on September 27, 2026. Early bird fees listed are CAD 45 for the Family 3k, CAD 10 for each kids race, and CAD 30 for the 3k/6k/9k trail events. Regular fees listed are CAD 55 for the Family 3k, CAD 10 for each kids race, and CAD 40 for the trail events. Adult and kid shirts are available for CAD 20 each. Payments are accepted online with a small processing fee. Volunteer opportunities are available. The confirmation list shows a total of 105 registrants.
