Run From Away Marathon

Event Information
The Run From Away event will take place on May 23, 2026, in Gander, Newfoundland and Labrador. Three distances are offered:
- Marathon
- Half Marathon
- 5 km
The start line is on the runway of Gander International Airport. The finish line is at the Gander Track & Field facility. The course is fully marked, marshalled, and features a net downhill. It weaves through historic landmarks and scenic trails.
Registration and Fees
Online registration opens on September 13, 2025. Fees vary by distance and registration period (early bird, regular, late). A t-shirt is included in the kit for registrations before the March 23, 2026 deadline. A full refund is available through Trackie's self-cancellation tool until March 23, 2026.
Additional Details
Bib and kit pickup occurs at Gander International Airport on May 21 and 22. No pickup is available on race day. An authorization form is required for someone else to pick up your kit. A free shuttle bus service is provided to the start line, with a bag drop service. A pre-race pasta dinner is offered on Friday evening for $10. Participants receive a bib, chip timing, a finisher's medal, and post-race refreshments. Walkers are allowed in the 5 km. Time limits are 6 hours for the full and half marathon, and 1:15 hours for the 5 km. The minimum age is 18 for the marathon and 16 for the half marathon.
