About the race
Turkey Trot Friday in Long Beach takes place on Friday, November 27, 2026, along the Long Beach Shoreline Path at 5400 E Ocean Blvd in Belmont Shores. The event is organized by A Better World Running and is scheduled the day after Thanksgiving.
The course is an open, beach-path route with marked out-and-back loops. Runners should be courteous to pedestrians, cyclists, and other users of the path. An aid station at the turnaround near the start/finish provides water cups, water bottles, Gatorade cups, and GU gels.
Distances offered:
- 5 km out-and-back route
- 10 km two 5 km loops
- 15 km three 5 km loops
- Half marathon three 4.36 mile loops
Registration includes a custom finisher medal, drawstring goodie bag, free photos and videos, live results at finish, cinematic race highlight reels, trophies and achievement badges, an Ascend Index ranking, and access to the A Better World Running app. An assortment of snacks and samples is available. Age group awards must be picked up at the race and will not be mailed.
Transfers are allowed only by emailing the organizer; the event has a no-refund policy. The half marathon has a 3 hour 15 minute time limit with an option to request an early start. Race day registration fees and accepted payment methods are listed for on-site registration. Parking is free in nearby residential areas; beach lot parking requires payment.
