Event Overview
The Turkey Trot is a running event in Decatur, Illinois, marking its 50th year. It takes place at Fairview Park, with the main gathering point at Pavilion #1.
Available Distances
Participants can choose from several race options:
- 5K Run/Walk
- 10K Run
- Half Marathon
- 1/2 Mile Tot Trot for participants aged 12 and under
- Virtual 5K and Virtual 10K options are also available.
Event Details
The Tot Trot for younger participants includes a T-shirt and participation prizes. The 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon races feature computerized results and awards for the top three finishers in each age group. A long-sleeved event shirt is guaranteed for those who register by November 2.
Registration is available online until November 14. After that date, sign-up is only possible in person at the park pavilion on the morning of the event. Packet pickup is scheduled for the day before the race at Fairview Park Pavilion #1.
The event is sponsored by ADM and Fleet Feet Decatur. A Rockwell Coffee Truck will be on site. The event takes place rain or shine, and no refunds are given. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
