Turkey Trot - Decatur
The 52nd Annual Turkey Trot takes place in Fairview Park Pavilion 1 at 2095 W Eldorado St., Decatur, Illinois, on November 21, 2026. The event offers in-person and virtual race options and is held rain or shine; no refunds are given.
The event program includes these distances:
- Half Marathon
- 10K
- 5K
- 1/2 mile Tot Trot for ages 12 and under
- Virtual 5K and Virtual 10K
Entry fees listed for the listed races are $35 for the 5K, 10K, Half Marathon, and virtual races, and $25 for the Tot Trot. Race day fees are higher and accepted as cash only for on site registration. Registration opens in July and August depending on the event and includes later online registration options; late online registration is available through November 13, after which on site registration is the only option. Registrations received by November 1 are guaranteed a long sleeved shirt; no shirt orders will be made after that date.
Competition details note computerized results and three deep awards per age group for the 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon. The Tot Trot includes a T shirt and participation prizes for ages 12 and under. Everyone who completes the Half Marathon will receive a surprise gift. A Coffee Truck will be on site. The event is sponsored by ADM and Fleet Feet Decatur.
