Turkey Trot 5K - Brookfield, WI
The Turkey Trot is a community 5K run/walk that benefits the Kelly Johnson Foundation. The event is held at Fox Brook Park, 2925 N Barker Rd, Brookfield, WI, and is scheduled for November 2026. The 5K course begins and finishes at the Fox Brook Park Lodge, follows the park bike paths, crosses Barker Road, continues east on River Road to a turnaround just before Mitchell Park Drive, and returns along the bike path to finish in front of the lodge.
The field for the 5K is limited to 250 participants. The race is chip timed by the Kelly Johnson Foundation. Registration categories include youth (14 and under), adult (15 to 64), and senior (65 and up), with different pre-race and race-day fees; family pricing is available for up to four people with a $10 discount applied at checkout. Registration includes a long-sleeve moisture-wicking shirt (guaranteed for 5K participants registered before November 1), post-race refreshments, and entry into a participant giveaway.
Awards are presented to the top three male and female finishers by division and overall, with age divisions starting at 14 and under and continuing in ten-year increments. The event includes a post-race raffle with items such as gift cards, running gear, and branded products. Packet pickup is offered the week of the race at Wisconsin Athletic Club Brookfield.
