Turkey Trot 5K, Brookfield, WI
The Turkey Trot is a 5K run and walk held in Brookfield that benefits the Kelly Johnson Foundation. The 2026 event is the ninth annual edition and is scheduled for Saturday, November 28, 2026, at Fox Brook Park, 2925 N Barker Rd, Brookfield, WI 53045.
The course begins in the Fox Brook Park Lodge parking lot, follows the park bike path counter-clockwise, crosses Barker Road onto River Road, continues east to a turnaround just before Mitchell Park Drive, and returns across Barker Road to loop around the park before finishing in front of the lodge.
Online and race day registration options are offered with separate fees for youth, adults, and seniors; a family pricing discount applies for up to four people. The 5K field is limited to 250 participants. Registration fees include a long sleeve moisture-wicking shirt for participants who register before November 1, post race refreshments, and eligibility for awards to the top three male and female finishers by age division and overall. Age divisions start at 14 and under, 15 to 19, and then continue by ten year increments.
The 5K is chip timed and results are posted after the race. The event is stroller friendly but does not allow dogs on course. Fox Brook Park parking is available; a daily park entrance fee of $7 per vehicle is charged by the county and is not included in the registration fee.
