Turkey Trot 5K - Brookfield, WI
The Turkey Trot is a community 5K run and walk benefiting the Kelly Johnson Foundation. The 2026 event is the ninth annual edition and is scheduled for Saturday, November 28, 2026, at Fox Brook Park, 2925 N Barker Rd, Brookfield, WI 53045.
The course begins in the Fox Brook Park Lodge parking lot, proceeds around the park bike path, crosses Barker Road onto River Road, turns around just before Mitchell Park Drive, and returns to loop around the park before finishing in front of the Fox Brook Park Lodge. The 5K field is limited to 250 participants and the 5K run is chip timed, with results posted after the race at the Fox Brook Park Lodge and online.
Registration rates vary by age and timing of registration: pre-race youth (14 and under) $20, pre-race seniors (65 and up) $30, pre-race adults (15 to 64) $35; race-day youth $25, race-day seniors $35, race-day adults $40. Family pricing for up to four receives a $10 discount applied at checkout. Registration includes a long-sleeve moisture-wicking shirt (size guaranteed for those registered before November 1), post-race refreshments, awards to the top three male and female finishers by age division and overall, and a participant giveaway and raffle. Age divisions include 14 & under, 15-19, then every ten years through 70+.
Packet pickup is available at Wisconsin Athletic Club Brookfield on Wednesday, November 25, 2026. The park charges a daily vehicle entrance fee of $7 which is not included in the race registration. The event is stroller-friendly; dogs are not allowed on course. Course records are 16:09 for overall male (2020) and 17:46 for overall female (2024).
