Turkey Tracks Thanksgiving Day 5K
The event is a Thanksgiving Day 5K held at Grain Valley High School in Grain Valley, MO. It serves as a fundraiser for the Grain Valley High School Cross Country team and directs proceeds to support that program.
Participants receive a race shirt and finisher medals. Awards are given to top overall male and female and top masters male and female (40+), and first through third places in standard age group categories from 10 & under up to 80+.
Registration fees are tiered by date and a team pricing option is available for groups of four or more. All registration fees are nonrefundable. Registrants may opt out of the race shirt to reduce their registration fee, with an $8 savings for opting out.
Packet pickup takes place at Grain Valley High School the day before the event and includes collection of race materials. A course map is made available by the organizers. A short kids run is scheduled on the track after the 5K.
Volunteers support roles such as packet pickup, water stations, and finish line duties. The event lists sponsors and encourages volunteer participation to help run the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
