Turf Wars 2026
Turf Wars 2026 is Tone House’s annual athletic challenge held at Chelsea Waterside Park Soccer Field in New York on June 13, 2026. The competition comprises ten sports conditioning events that combine endurance, strength, and agility movements, plus a surprise Wild Card event that follows the third zone.
The event runs in a redesigned three Performance Zone format. Individual competitors complete all three Zones with mandatory five minute refuel intervals between Zones. Doubles teams (two athletes) and Teams (four athletes) compete in a gauntlet format with one running clock and no mandatory refuel windows; doubles teams each must attempt at least five events and team members must each attempt at least three.
All divisions use the same Zones and finish time equals the final score. Division categories include Individual, Doubles, and Team, and an Elite Individual division requires competitors to wear a GORUCK vest and is scored separately. Division winners receive medals and prize packages; Individual champions receive a cash prize and the titles Man and Woman of the House. All competitors receive an adidas apparel and footwear kit.
Zone structure and examples of movements are specified with time caps of 15 minutes per zone. Examples include sprint and mile running work in Zone 1, rowing and Echo bike calories plus sled pushes in Zone 2, and sandbag cleans, back squats, harness sprints, and walking lunges in Zone 3.
