Event Overview
The Tunxis Trail Races are held in Burlington, Connecticut, within the Tunxis Trail system. This trail network is part of the Blue-Blazed hiking trail system managed by the Connecticut Forest and Parks Association. The event serves as a fundraiser for the Burlington Land Trust and is included in the Blue-Blazed Trail Running Series.

Course Details
The routes consist of a variety of surfaces, including double track, single track, half track, and off-track sections, along with a small portion of road. The terrain is technical and includes segments that may feature natural vegetation such as prickers depending on trail maintenance.
Participants on the 8 km course pass several notable local landmarks within the Burlington trail system. These locations include the Connecticut State Trout Hatchery, the Nassahegan State Forest, and the geological feature known as Devil’s Kitchen.
