Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk - Sugarcreek Township, OH
This event is a community 5K run and walk held to honor first responders and veterans, to remember September 11, 2001, and to raise funds for the Tunnel to Towers Foundation’s programs. It is presented as the first Tunnel to Towers run in the Dayton region and is open to runners and walkers of all ages.
Registration opens on May 13, 2026, with category fees that vary by registrant type, including adult, first responder and military, youth, child, and an employee virtual option. Day-of registration is available the morning of the event. Registration fees do not count toward individual fundraising goals.
Packet pick up is available from Wednesday, September 9 through Friday, September 11 from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm at 2236 Shadowood Cir, Bellbrook, OH 45305. Bibs must be worn on the front of the outermost garment; participants without a bib will be asked to leave the course.
The event includes a water station along the route and water at the square. Strollers and wheelchairs are permitted; firefighter turnout gear and military backpacks are also allowed. Simple awards are planned with emphasis on honoring first responders; the event is not currently timed. An Emergency Medical Service team and radio communication will be available on site. Fundraising donations are accepted after the event for a defined period and fundraising incentives are offered each year. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
